Wendy B. Yurachek received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of William and Mary in 1970 and a Juris Doctor, with distinction, from George Mason University School of Law in 1984. She worked in the Trust Department at First Virginia Bank for four years and has been in private law practice in Northern Virginia for ten years.

Her practice is concentrated in the areas of estate and incapacity planning and estate administration. Mrs. Yurachek is a frequent speaker, particularly before groups of individuals preparing for retirement. She has also been a lecturer for a number of continuing education programs for lawyers, accountants and other professionals. She is the author of an article published in the Newsletter of the Virginia State Bar Section on Trusts and Estates and has been quoted in Kiplinger's Retirement Report and in Money magazine. She is a member of the Virginia Bar and the Virginia and Fairfax Bar Associations. She also belongs to the Northern Virginia Estate Planning Council and the Trusts and Estate section of the Fairfax Bar, of which she served as chairman in 1992.
